The magnificent oil and fresco paintings cover the interiors of St. Aloysius Chapel in Mangalore.The church is dedicated to St. Aloysius Gonaza, a wealthy man who gave up on materialism to dedicate himself to the service of needy. Many of the paintings are made in the memory of St. Aloysius. Some paintings also depict some scenes from Bible.
Santana Church, Talaulim, Goa
Also known as the Church of Saint Anne, Santana Church is the parish church of village, Talaulim in Goa. The church is built on the banks of river Siridao and was built in the Indian Baroque style. It is believed that an apparition of a woman named Anna, had miraculously cured a sick village lady. She told the sick lady that she wanted to reside in the church; hence the church is called the Church of Saint Anne.
Christ Church, Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh
Dedicated to St. Francis and St. Barnabas, the British families laid down the foundation of the Christ Church in 1842. The church was constructed in the shape of a cross. With beautiful stained glass windows, the church features a clock tower and sundial. There is also a cemetery with the church.
Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Pondicherry
Immaculate Conception Cathedral is around 300 years old church and the church was visited by Mother Teresa during her visit to Pondicherry. The church is also the place where the Bishop House is situated.
