Happiness is achieved in a place where everything is systematic and harmonious. But having said that, a happy and peaceful world is a myth, or a figment of ones imagination.
However, in a small room of Exhibit 320 Art Gallery, the myth took shape in the form of a wooden model. To an onlooker, it was just a wooden model but the interiors of that carried the architectural planning of a utopian city. The blue print of a city, where no troubles exist, where everyone is content, where there is ecological balance and where politics or market dynamics rest in peace.
Through the patterns illuminated on the wooden model, the artists- Sayantan Maitra Boka, Susanta Mandal, M. Pravat and Navid Tschopp, wanted to project the utopian patterns. Their project pressed the need of architectural intervention in the urban society which today is so dominated by privatization, globalization and supranational or global politics.
